On Tuesday 27th March, Year 1 and 2 were lucky to have a theatre company come into school and give them the 'Titanic experience.'
We looked at pictures advertising the Titanic as the most luxurious ship of her time. People believed it was 'unsinkable.' |
We pretended to build the ship in Belfast and even tried to talk with Irish accents. |
We waved goodbye to the ship as she departed for the journey to New York.
We pretended to be both 1st and 3rd class passengers and compared how different their experiences would have been. We then talked about the very sad fact that the ship crashed into an iceberg and sank.
